Mongolian barbeque
Mongolian barbeque I ate at a joint called "The Mongolian Grill" the other day. The table tent featured "The History Of Mongolian Barbeque," with the first sentence reading "Mongolian barbeque was introduced to China by Genghis Khan in the thirteenth century." I love that word "introduced." Apparently China was just sitting around one day watching "Genghis Khan's Living" and he was all, like, "Not sure what to do with that leftover mutton in the fridge? Here's an style of cooking that's both simple and delicious!" |

Dude, Mongolian BBQ is the bees knees. I had one near me in college. They say that the Mongols used their iron shields to cook their food on and that's how the deal got started...Funny, I just saw a special on the Mongols yeaterday afternoon on the H channnel. There was a lot of looting and pillaging and beheading but I didn;t see anyone taking time out to fire up the iron shield and skillett some mutton...Maybe in the next special.

lol. There used to be a great place called Genghis grill. Went out of buisness. You would mix your own batch of meat and seasonings and send it out to be cooked. Miss that place alot. Though on another asian grill food... I love Hibachi. With a passion.
