某夜，一位艦長發現一束奇怪的強光向他的戰艦迫近，於是命令信號兵對那艘身分不明的船蘋發出訊號：“請把航導向南轉10度。”

對方回應：“請把航導向北轉10度。”

這一回，艦長更加堅定地回應：“我是艦長，請轉10度！”
對方回應：“我是三等水手史密斯，請轉10度！”

此時，這束強光已直逼戰艦，且更亮更大，
艦長怒發沖冠，並親自發訊號：“趕快離開航道，我這是一艘戰艦！”
回應的訊號也很快：“趕快離開航道，我這是燈塔！”
