It's Mine.

In the garage I had stuff I was saving neatly stacked on a couple of shelves. I came home from work to find the stuff sitting in a garbage can at the curb. My husband thinks it's a joke, but I just told him on Monday not to throw out any more of my things. I'm mad! Isn't it the ultimate sign of disrespect?
YES
NO

That is the worst especially if it is on a shelf obviously it is not trash.

I wonder if you joked in return and threw out some of his stuff?

No, oddly I felt bad for being mad.
I've cheated on him, and thought it metaphoricly as I threw out my vows. And I felt guilty.

More possibly a sign of childish stupidity or ignorance but the ultimate in disrespect . . . I just don't see it measuring up to that level.

I'd take it from the trash put it back in it's place and make it clear that it and I not be touched . . .

First time I ever heard of a man doing this. It's usually the woman cleaning out things from a mans past without asking. Is he pissed about something or just insane?

Bored. He is a clean freak at times. I'm by no means a pack rat, but he gets into these cleaning fits sometimes. Thirty years ago he went into the top drawer of my dresser and cleared on notes and papers I had there (without looking carefully enough). He threw out a very important certificate from the state.

Okay, my phrasing was harsh. I was ticked off. It is not the first time he has thrown stuff away on me. This time got to me because I had just mentioned to him that I didn't want anything else thrown away without checking with me.

You are correct, in fact for me the anger just grows. I vented and that made me feel better.

Sure 'nuff. That is a woman's opportunity to fold her arms across her chest. Get that "go to hell" stern glaze going and chew his ass out about touching your stuff.

Whoop Ass Dear.

As I lean on the fence closer to your clothes line, lets chat!! Shall we? "You know, my wife has had four un-cane'd white chairs from the late forties hanging in the rafters of my shop for 25 years now. Mind you, 25 years. OOOO! oh the times I have wanted to chuck them suckers in the trash.... But, Lady, I like my BALLS just where they are at!!!
You need to put the fear of God in that man....

my wife does it to me al the time, and i get mad fromn time toi time but usually the stuff she throws away is never goint to be used again. I would like to get in the closet with you for seven minutes, and as our bodies rub each others that seven minutes might turn in to several hours

I've never been able to instill fear in him. Well once. I should try again.

One time my ex said something about throwing out some of my stuff. I told her if she EVER threw out ANY of my model railroad stuff...she probably won't live to talk about it. I think the look in my eyes and my tone of voice put the fear of God in her. My " stuff " is a part of my life since child hood. I guess there's emotional attachment. I never would think of throwing out anything of hers.

Out house is filled with stuff that he has from this parents and grandparents. Stuff like photos, childhood birthday cards, childhood story boooks, etc.... I wouldn't in a million years think of throwing them away without his permission.
