A First Time for Everything? I can honestly say that 99% of the males who have emailed here, have been at minimum, cordial. Even those I politely 'turned down', handled it respectfully. That all changed just a short time ago this afternoon. First thing I do when anyone contacts me, is look at their profile and pictures. This will temper how I respond. I won't name the individual but I will say he is '57' yrs old and local . Here's the exchange. Him: Hi there, my name is Michael. Would you be interested in chattiing? Me: I respectfully decline and wish you the best in your adventures. Him: Go fuck yourself bitch ....you think you are better?? think again He thinks about it for '30' minutes and then sends: You dont even show your fucking face I shook my head thinking FFS! I craft an appropriate response, press Enter and discover he has blocked 'me' . Without hesitation, I reported him 'to' Black Flirting Abuse and provided a screenshot. Ladies: Has this happened you? Gentleman: How do you handle 'rejection'? |

Initially, this bothered me as it does NOT represent the types of experiences I normally have on here. Now, I can laugh it off but felt it was worth sharing.

Rejection is a large part of life! Cant get the right girl, get the right car, right job! Those of us that do get rejected, reject others! Don't want that one, wrong color eyes, hair, nails etc! Some folks find sucess in numbers!! Broad shotgun blast!! Bound to hit something!! kiss enough frongs and you will find the prince! Ask enough girls and one will eventually say yes!!! Yes it has. A few times before I even ignored the message. I mark all as spam which automatically gets it added to my blocked list. The not meeting at this time means nothing to the ones who sent a message. So does all or most of my preferences. Younger ones don't like I want my age. A few dont like I am not meeting. That is why I report all as spam. I believe I have I will do so on my profile. They refuse to believe I am not meeting. Maybe they think they are special. Ummm no they are not. Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth. If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.

I don't contact anyone, therefore I can honestly say that I've never been rejected, lol. Of those that contact me that I rejected usually take it well and even apologize for bothering me. Please don't let me be misunderstood.

How do you handle 'rejection'?As a non-paying member my view may be different than others. I would prefer rejection to no response at all. No response leaves me wondering if the message got through (no matter the way it was sent) or not, then should I try again or even a third time. Earlier this year I messaged a woman - for the third time. When we met it turned out she had not seen the first 2. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I am not new on here. And yes, it is the first time anyone has reacted that way. To act like a spoiled brat and block me just shows why he isn’t successful on here. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

I take rejection in my stride. I would usually thank them for having responded at all. If someone is very rude, I block them. I don't bother reacting in such a case.

I don't consider it a rejection - it is just some one's preference for whatever their reasons are. Like you I read profiles from pictures I like to those who reach out to me. I usually pass on the very short profiles and any that I don't seem to check many of their likes. Seems to me it would be rather egotistical and immature to expect everyone I contact to want to pursue even a distant chat.

I agree with your analysis except it seems they join here, expecting everyone is going to jump to their requests / demands / expectations. The reaction was completely uncalled for and the topper was blocking me! No worries, I am a strong, resilient woman and this was only a blip.
