Any real gentlemen left?

Here's an interesting question I find me asking myself over and over again, "Am I really one of the last gentlemen in the world?". I've always been one to give up my seat on a bus to a woman or older person, hold the door open for someone and always use please and thank you in every situation. However, since the 5th grade I've come to realize that I am part of a dying breed.

No longer do I see people showing common courtesies, talking back to adults (when I was a that was met with a serious ass whoopin) men just watching while women stand on buses, and worst of all, men hitting women. Really what kind of a man would stoop so low as to attack someone who is physically weaker than you? How could you sit comfortably in your seat while an old man who has trouble walking has too stand in a bus? Why would you talk back to someone who has more authority over you? All this makes me sick to my stomach just this weekend I gave up my seat to an older lady on a bus while the young man sitting close to her just sat there with a blank expression on his face.

All my fellow bloggers and adults finding friends out there, this is the core of the social breakdown we are experiencing. We do not respect each other, hence we do not respect ourselves.

Often I find people saying that there are no more gentlemen left in the world, what do you think?
