Unpopular Opinion
Unpopular Opinion It’s been a bit, y’all. My blog posts have previously served as diary of sorts, and at a time in my life when I needed a cathartic outlet. This is not of them. I, like so many other folks, am baffled with what’s going on. This goes beyond the current family separation crisis, the pull out from the UN, the whole shit storm the media is blasting. I’m genuinely curious how conservatives under the guise that our county and perhaps the rest of the world runs as a theocracy and clutch pearls upon any fear of danger be it the war on Christmas, abortions, and minorities.... yet neglect to observe the totem upon which their religion is based upon: kindness. Love they neighbor. There arent caveats to that... you don’t get to love selective neighbors, and you don’t get to dehumanize people who need a helping hand. Why are we so quick to judge people seeking asylum? I think the actual numbers of those posing a trafficking / drug cartel threat are minimal. I totally see how t deaf that sounds, but currently the true threat to us stateside are angry white men withguns, #domestic terrorists, right? Obviously SOMETHING needs to change with the current system at the border. I don’t think any is fully in support of 100% open borders. The issue goes beyond politics for me. We’re treating people like shit. Families, , BABIES, which pro life supporters? I see you. What’s the end game? Self preservation is the key to survival, but how do you live with yourself with that blood on your hands? All pretty girls are a trap, a pretty trap, and men expect them to be. |

I don't find this opinion unpopular, at all. There's something to loving your neighbor. And I totally agree, we're not getting anywhere treating folks like shit.

It's because "conservatives", and especially the fundies, are susceptible to fear, and the powers-that-be KNOW this, and play to it to stay in power!
