My Favorite Toy

mcmaniac loves old tractors, and so do I. So today PD took some photos of mine plowing snow with the back blade. It won't push as much snow as my pickup truck- it's not as heavy and it's two wheel drive, but it's very easy to get into tight places and with a brake for each drive wheel it'll turn on a dime and give you nine cents change. Even I feel a little weird posting tractor photos on a sex site but you people just don't understand how I feel about this old Ford.

I drove a tractor that was a lot like that when I was 15 and living on a farm... I understand your love for that machine.
I've had it at least twenty years and it never lets me down. Besides the blade I have a slip scoop, plow, post hole auger and a six foot platform. I made a boom for it, and it powered a six foot finish mower for years. Sixty one years old and it purrs right along. I always wanted a buzz saw for it- those are really dangerous!

My what a Big Tractor you have! Come here, Bubala, and let me have a ride!

You made me think of this book too-- funny one, chick-lit though--

A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian by Marina Lewycka

Pappa, an 84-year-old, recently widowed, Ukrainian immigrant falls in love with a flash, brash and breast-enhanced floozy from his homeland, fifty years his junior. She, for her part, wants the luxurious life of a westerner with the colour co-ordinated kitchen, the private school education for her genius son and the top prize of a British passport. To the chagrin of his two adult daughters, Pappa marries Valentina and takes her and her son, Stanislav into his home. But all is far from rosy in the English idyll. Pappa can’t support Valentina in the style to which she wishes to become accustomed and Valentina can’t stop her flirty affairs with other men. The two daughters, who haven’t been on speaking terms since the death of their mother, are re-united in their efforts to save their father and oust Valentina in his affections.
Honey, that SOUNDS like chick-lit!

The Jubilee is a jewel. It's something I bought that did what it was supposed to and keeps on doing it! I've skidded logs, raised beams and poles, mowed, dug, scraped, plowed, pushed snow and it keeps on ticking!

I love that tractor! I would want to drive it into town!
I've spent a lot of happy hours working with that Ford. The furthest I've driven it was twenty miles, when I moved- top speed is about thirteen miles an hour. I used to mow three acres with it, once a week. I had a six foot finish mower and could mow in second gear, unless the grass was real thick and green. In August I'd mow in third and be done in an hour and a half, but my ass hurt from bouncing on the steel seat. It's also the perfect ride for picking up Ukrainian girls. And you wondered why my inbox was jammed with invitations from them!

Up here they used chloride but it rusts hell out of the rims- I had to replace one of mine a few years ago. I drained as much as i could out of the tubes but the damage was done.

Usually I've kept the tractor outside under a tarp but we had a lot of snow last year so I moved it inside. When it gets super cold six volts aren't always enough to fire it up, and it's easier to boost and warm it up in the garage. I've got a propane convection heater that will fit underneath to warm up the pan and transmission.

Such as they are, yes! Maybe some day, if the neighbors piss me off, I'll do it naked. I have threatened to mow in a thong.

Looks like you need a snow plow attachment on that beauty!
I have got the blade on the back but there was a girl taking the pictures. She took a dozen pictures of ME after I asked her to take pictures of the tractor, plowing! So the plow blade never made it into one photo.

I think it's perfectly appropriate to post a picture of your big tractor here!

(I know the fascination... my ex and I had an old Allis Chalmers B, complete with snowplow AND loader! We couldn't pass a farm show without stopping for years)

Those old machines are workhorses. The Jubilee is versatile and reliable. I'd love to find a six foot snowblower for it. It cost a fraction of what a new tractor would cost me and I can fix it myself without computer diagnostics.

Something I've wanted but never acquired is a steam engine. I'd like to find a small one to run a generator and maybe a bandsaw mill.

Well, actually, no. I love it but not in that way, if you know what I mean. We're mostly just really good friends. I'm not even sure it would reciprocate those kind of feelings- it could ruin a good thing. After all these years to try to introduce sex would definitely be plowing new ground. "As ye sow also shall ye reap." What if the harvest were bitter?

And as to having sex ON the tractor, say with my wife, isn't someone going to feel used? Now Im SO confused!

I used to mow with it, for years. I mowed three acres at least once a week, sometimes more often in the spring. Now I grade my driveway, move wood, pull stumps, that kind of stuff. It doesn't get as much use in summer as it used to. But, neither do I! I'd love to have a wood chipper for it, but they're pretty expensive.
Thanks for stopping by, sweetie. I love your visits here!

You think your tractor could've handled the amounts Buffalo Got this week?
No. When the snow gets really deep here I have to whittle at it. For snow as deep as they had in Buffalo you need major heavy equipment. Now if I had a three point snowblower, then my tractor could handle it.

I have a bit of a fetish for old Fords. My grandfather worked for Ford in Chicago on and off through the depression, and painted tanks there during the war. My grandmother worked in an aircraft factory then....but I can't afford a B17.
