A New Group

KItkat1415 had the idea of starting a group of bloggers on the face place. I joined in. It’s called A F F Blogger Refugees. We aren’t leaving this site- we just want to connect elsewhere as well, kind of a group of special friends. If you’re a blog watcher or friend here, send one of us a friend request on that other site and we’ll add you to the new group. Please come on and join up and let’s see if we can have some fun.

 Lots of bloggers have gone over to FB and connected in real life. Good idea as you never know who you might meet in the future. I am not on FB very much so I do not use it. hugssssssssssss V

Sometimes I use it a lot- I have a couple of school and work friends there and this is the easiest way I have to stay in touch. Most of the interacting i do there though is with friends I've made here. Sometimes I use it very little. I don't like the owner or managers much and I despise their spying dishonest ways, but i use the site how I want to use it and tune out a lot if the bullshit. when it gets to be too much, I take a break.

 As long as we observe a few simple rules and won't turn FB group into place for "sprint bloggers" or catfights, I think I'd be happy there among friends from this site. It is a nice benefit to get to know other sides of people we think we know here.

I agree. It's important how and why we use it. And you're so right- I've gotten to know a number of friends much better by being connected off site. A depth of character is revealed that you can't quite match with the one connection. I do think it's important to say though, that it was this site and the interest that was piqued here that drew us together. We not only want to deepen the connection but keep it going through the glitches and breakdowns in communication that are increasingly frequent. Most of us are here to have fun and the new group is intended to be an extension of that, not to replace it. I'm not certain we could replace it. This is a pretty good blogging venue.
