It's good to see you. Actually, we're still hiking even in the heat. We took time off last year and it took a toll on us. We need to walk often. We take it slow, and Gracie drags a bit when it's warm, but she has pools to swim in and we let her rest when she wants to. I've been walking with her off leash and she's doing a good job of it.

The Invasion gets me emotional, politics aside. The sacrifices men made for each other, and for a larger cause, are heroic no matter the politics that created the event. And so many people I was close to took part in that war. I'll even watch a bad documentary on D Day. My Uncle Bill skippered an LCTA- landing craft armored- at Utah. They took a hit on the ramp at the beach, but made repairs and returned to their mother ship off the shoreline. He asked for his next assignment and the skipper told him he didn't have another assignment. "We never thought you'd be back" he said. He did make it back and lived into his eighties.
