Red for Nicelipss 20 July HNW [blog ethicalslutMissy], who sponsors the Half Nekkid Wednesday group, has designated the theme for Wednesday 20 July as Red for Nicelipss. It’s a terrific idea and I hope everyone will participate. You can read Missy’s post [post 3853810] and comment also. This is a terrific way to show support for nicelipss. sexysixties2 commented that nicelipss really rocked that red dress and did she ever! Missy posted a couple of pictures of nice doing just that- rocking our world. Nicelipss was a lover and we miss her terribly. Ordinarily HNW is for the HNW group members, but all site members are encouraged to participate in this special tribute to nicelipss. You don't need a blog- you can use a profile pic if you like. How can I make this brief and still clear.... Nicelipss is a transgendered person, male to female. She obviously identifies as female so that was the gender she selected in her profile. She explained that she was transgender in her profile as well. She became very popular- popular enough to become the top blogger here. Another blogger, who had once been popular, was jealous of nicelipss' success and began attacking on the basis of her gender. She made endless transphobic comments about her and questioned the sexuality of nicelipss' watchers and fans. Go ahead and force the powers that be to make that decision. I expect you'll find that it isn't that easy. I'm not sure what event in Florida you refer to, so I can't speak to that. But anyway, thanks for declaring your support for Red HNW. I don't know that it's entirely one way. Disagreement and argument is how we thrash things out and move forward. One side pushes and the other pushes back. It can go on for years. This one has. This isn't the kind of posting I wanted to do. I wanted to write about my hikes with my wife and my dog. I wanted to write about writers that I have read and loved, and women I have loved and read. I wanted to post about silly shit, like the One Eyed Sloth Pirate Brigade. But shit happens. It looked to me like that months long trans bashing campaign had gone on just a bit too goddamn long and gotten way too nasty, and that there was an innocent blogger being abused for the basest of reasons. I could sit on my ass with my mouth shut or stand up and holler. I'd been on my ass long enough- it was time to getup and shout. This is OUR community here and it's what we make of it.
