 I have three favorites. the splash of red foliage.

the reflection of the red in the pond. so soft and compelling

and the trunks of the trees that goes on and on...rather magical that one.

You're welcome. I do wish there were a way to better convey how it feels to be in that forest. The photos and my words skirt the edges of it but they don't approach the sense of rightness, of belonging. It's a little like satori in that way- indescribable.

Thank you, V. Like you, I live in a wet part of the world! There are a few forests still left that let us see what this place looked like before the European settlers came and cleared the land of trees.

I wish I could visit and compare! Some years here are spectacular and some are an anti-climax. Last year was very pretty but I think it may be more subdued this year with the warm weather.
