Adjusting a thought about

So I wrote a little while ago about FWB and FB etc...and realized I have a different term ...Friendship Fucking.

It's basically the need to feel friendly towards whomever I am going to have sex with. A "friend" so to speak. Someone I think would be fun to have a beer with, go to a ballgame, share a meal, and talk about the day...the work...the adventures if we were going to talk. Someone you trust to do things right by you because you can talk to them about it. Give you an honest opinion. tell you what's great and such even if you are never going to hook up again. You have a fun connection Someone you can share your bucket list with.

Friends don't get jealous of other friends and the more friends you have the better.

I realize sometimes i talk too much...I like to think I am a communicator. The more I talk the more things become clear and the idea because much more real. I do once I am convince I would enjoy follow through. I don't like to write checks I can't cash.

Call it what you want it still boils down to the fact that actual friendship is one thing...anything beyond that creates it's own set of circumstances and really tends to go beyond just being friends...a very hard balancing act I think once sex becomes involved that usually doesn't end well unless you want a full relationship.

Well, I think a friendship is a relationship and it can be full and long lived. I have had a 20+ year friendship that has gone through a few changes. We started out as co-workers (he is younger) with him talking to me because he was attracted to me. We hung out. He has dated two of my friends and I have introduced him to a girlfriend...then we dated, went to Friends with Benefits, talked on the phone (girlfriend jealous), back to FWB,now we have lunch on occasion and talk. He is married now. We are still friends with or without sex and he is a great guy. On a side note, I have had serious romantic relationships but have never had an open one because the partner didn't want one. I have never cheated but they have and I didn't care about the sex so much as the lying. (especially since I gave the option of open)

That sounds about perfect. It seems some people aren't fully honest about having multiple friends though then when the others find out they get accused of jealousy. As long as everyone is honest and open about what's going on though, it does sound perfect.

Honesty is very important especially if one's feelings change. I think you can still be friends even if one feelings are more romantic. I have a few friends I have not been intimate because I know that they want more. A few female friends who like to joke about a 3somes but honestly over the years I have seen and heard their behavior...I am not going there with them. I hear men so many times say women start FWB to get to a "real" relationship. NOT all women. All or nothing thinking can be a determent to some truly fun friendships. Maybe age and life circumstances change thinking too.

Yes individuals have different feelings , but as we age we tend to see things differently and I for one have continued to change or evolve if you will. My step-daughter says the term her generation uses is "fuck buddies" to describe a fwb. I never have liked fuck to describe love making. Sex, even on a casual basis is an intimate thing and some people cannot separate sex from love because for many they are one and the same due to religious beliefs. Sex is sex, love is love, they are separate things. I prefer women my age and sadly they prefer youngsters and understandably so. Men my age don't always "perform" as well so a woman deserves to be sexually satisfied. It is sad to think many women will pass up a elderly lover who is sexually adept. It is my sincere hope that I get a chance to meet you. Id love to talk about the dynamics of mans' ever changing psychology. The mind is the truly last frontier that takes a lifetime to explore one day at a time.
