Thank you. All tho the marine marathon got cancelled for this year. my friend got the email about 9 days ago about the cancelation. they also refunded his money for the participation fee.

I also started running last year during lockdown, and I have an understanding of the hard work and dedication needed. You are already a champion for all you have achieved so far in your life!

Hi Missthee. Thank you. Also very happy to hear that you started running last year. is good for the body. consistency is what works best. I mix up my running with hiking, rowing and the gym. that way my knees are not taking all the work. I mixed different things to protect them.

As you mentioned. the marathon got cancelled. we were registered to run on Oct 30th. they refunded the money to my friend that bought the tickets. There are a couple of smaller marathons going on in the DC area at the end of year. but I won't do those. because those smalls ones are getting crazy to get in or to even run them do to the fact that runners from the marine marathon are moving to those smaller ones. Another reason is that those are also no a shoe in. they could also cancelled last minute just as the marine marathon did. I know the one that the army has also cancelled. for those reasons I just going to wait for next year.
