You know it's been a rough weekend when....

You know it's been a rough weekend when.... The sight of your Sunday morning face startles you when you look in the mirror. Holy shit! I'd been feeling half-assed sick since I got my COVID booster and Flu shot last Monday, add that sleepless nights and depression, and you get sick... Very sick! I was on my way home from work on Friday and I could think of was getting home, crawling into bed, and falling asleep. Which is exactly what I did. I didn't wake until sometime around Midnight when the furnace had kicked off and the heat ducts under the house started crashing and banging around like there was a caged animal under there. I've gotten used this sound, it's become part of the norm for me. Furnace kicks off, bangs from the duct work, and is well until the next time it kicks in. The Tilly Cat had been napping my feet at the end of the bed when she heard stir. Springing life, she did her usual half-meow and sauntered my head and licked my forehead a little. I wound sleeping off and most of the day Saturday, as well. So today when I was finally feeling like a normal human being again, I decided to get , make some coffee, and have a normal day. That first sight of me though.... It was the stuff of nightmares I tell you. Greasy hair standing end, shirt gross and oddly discolored where I'd probably sweated at some point while I was sleeping, sweatpants twisted around.... I had look away and shield my eyes from the sight of myself it was so bad. " My God!" It's moments like those when I'm thankful I live alone! Happy Sunday! |

“I though I saw a mouse. Well … ten of them, actually,” would probably be her response, if she could respond in such a manner.  I imagine the banging of your furnace is the ducts contracting, once the heat cycle ends. There might be a little too much room at the expansion joints if it is, that much. And, uh, there’s no need to be jealous of your furnace, because it’s banging more often than you are?  Glad you’re feeling better. “Back to our regularly-scheduled [not quite enjoyment of all things] …”

Ha ha ha ha.... Probably, I'll bet it was salty. I was making my bed this morning, I washed my bedding cause, that's what you do after you've been sick, and that little stinker reached out from under my bed and sunk her claws into my pinky toe on my right foot. I was glad I finally got my hair cut as short as possible (a number one blade) last week. It grows longer at the back and sides and it hardly ever grows in the front or top! I can look in the mirror without a sigh for now at least. Cat's will never get a fur-ball licking my forehead lol

I'm sorry ot hear that you weren't feeling well. I felt just like you did after each vaccine it's just one of the side effects. But you'll be glad that you're vaccinated if you catch Covid. I'm glad you are now feeling better. I hope you have a good week

I was glad I finally got my hair cut as short as possible (a number one blade) last week. It grows longer at the back and sides and it hardly ever grows in the front or top! I can look in the mirror without a sigh for now at least. Cat's will never get a fur-ball licking my forehead lol

We all have them days. Me I'm in the garage painting frames. They will turn into window For the front porch for the winter. Two will stay up for ever. To block rain from the NW Keep the couch dry The other two I'll have to find a place for them in the spring. Along with the storm door. Went deer hunting this morning till 12 saw one deer then a coyote. Then tree deer eating for an hour and a half. They left hour later they go running bye me like their ass where on fire. F

It's not like you haven't had any mental or physical stress in your life lately....right? Otherwise we'd have to wonder just what caused that look! It's amazing how our bodies will let us know when they've had enough, but yeah, that after-look.....scary as hell!
