Let's play a little game! We'll call it.... Is this comment 'Work Appropriate'? We're doing a little holiday raffle at the store. Employees fill out a card with their name, department, and favorite Thanksgiving tradition / food / activity to give to me for entry. Easy peasy.... Right??? As I was posting the flyers, I was also letting the employees know as I passed them throughout the store. People get excited when you're excited, even if it's for something simple like a Thanksgiving Raffle where you might win a turkey or pumpkin pie. Leave it to the Brand New Guy who was in my orientation last week to make it awkward and uncomfortable. "Whatcha posting?" "We're doing a Thanksgiving Raffle! To enter, you just turn in your name, department, and favorite Thanksgiving holiday tradition, food, or activity for a raffle ticket!" "What if my favorite Thanksgiving activity is sex? Can I turn that in?" Really?!? By now he was standing right next to me reading off the posting in my hand. I think I've found this week's 'Douche Bag of the Week'.... "No, no you may not." I'd turned on my heel and was making my quick escape when he called out behind me... "But that's my favorite Thanksgiving Day activity." "Not if you want to keep working here if your name is drawn and [Boss #2] reads your entry aloud." Yah, I walked away from that conversation feeling sketched out and sexually harassed. Not going to lie, definitely don't like the Brand New Guy now. Who does something like that on their third day of employment?? This week's Douche Bag of the Week, that's who! Ugh... Happy Tuesday! |

Maybe he meant sex with a turkey. No? Oh well. But yeah. Anyone who makes a comment like that in an environment that's clearly family friendly needs to be let go Pronto. It's great to be retired My favorite Thanksgiving Family, we used to go small game hunting sunrise till 11am Then get over to the apple farm stand we hunt at and get the fresh hot apple pie go home. Favorite part of the meal. Moms stuffing boy do I miss that and her cole slaw Mom loved Thanksgiving the most I miss her the most. Back when I watch foot ball both games. Or if it was nice out We kids would go out and play football with all the neighborhood kids. Now it me and the wife and dogs we cook our turkey the day before for my wife likes cold turkey sandwiches more then hot out of the oven. So you can say we have leftovers all of them. I don still go bird hunting with my dogs but it not the same no family come up and we don't go down. Till Christmas. I don't watch foot ball at all the past 8 season now .
