Jensen Ackles - 'Supernatural'

Ooh La La!!

Thanks to Netflix, I've discovered the series 'Supernatural', and I've been hooked for weeks.

Ugh.....

The last thing on earth I should be watching is 9 seasons of ghosts, demons, and poltergeists, yet, here I am.

Afraid of the dark.... I've been for as long as I can remember.

Afraid of what goes bump in the night.... Recently acquired, thanks to Jensen Ackles and 'Supernatural'.

What are your unhealthy addictions?

you've ever worn a bra that was held together by staples.

Why is it that I have so many issues with my bras????

I was in the breakroom with several of my coworkers when my bra literally flew apart. I've never seen anything like it in my life. One minute I'm standing there in the middle of a conversation, the next, my bra is snapping my chin and I'm flapping in the breeze.

It had somehow come unsewn and was now unable to clasp.

Thankfully, a coworker ended up stapling it together so I could at least finish out the work day.

That wasn't awkward in the least.... [Insert sarcastic undertone here]

Getting out of this thing should be interesting, I'll probably have to cut it off my body.

Wish me luck.

I don't think he intended to hurt my feelings, but it kind of did.

The boyfriend was talking to me on the phone a little while ago and started telling me about running into an old friend he hadn't seen in years. She apparently has a 13 year old and the subject of had come up. She had told him he was smart to not have any and lucky he didn't have to deal with teenagers and their antics.

He commented to her that, after spending time with my own , he considered himself thankful that he never 'walked that path' as well because he just didn't really like to be around .

I didn't say anything to him, but it had been one of the reasons why I had chosen not to pursue things with him in the beginning. When you have , they are a part of your life for the rest of your life.

Good, bad, and ugly.

He had never had any , didn't want any , and I felt that my having would be a negative factor to him.

After seeing how well he got along with my , I quickly changed my mind. He was patient, and fun, and seemed to genuinely enjoy being around them when I had them.

Or, so I thought.

Being a single parent is such a tough thing. It's difficult enough just meeting someone who could possibly be the right person. Someone who accepts you as you are, and you them.

It's harder yet when you throw into the equation.

They have to accept them as well. Whether they want to admit to it or not, I don't think most guys want the added baggage of a woman with a ready made family, even if the are only there part of the time.

Nearly crippled, but I'm home at last.

Should I be worried that an overnight trip to the boyfriend's house requires Advil to recover from it?

I found a Yoda Christmas ornament online when I was Black Friday shopping last week, I couldn't resist and had to buy it. I had likened Yoda to a stroke victim while watching Star Wars with the boyfriend a few months ago.

I don't think he's recovered from it yet.

As a peace offering, I gave the boyfriend Yoda as an early Christmas gift.

Not sure if it worked or not.....

I'll let you know when I find out.

Imagine my surprise as I looked at myself in the mirror at work and discovered I was nearly naked from the waist up.

I thought I was going to die of humiliation.

God only knows how long I roamed around with 3 buttons unbuttoned on my shirt. What kind of coworkers do I have? How on earth could you NOT notice my bra staring you in the face??

Not one person said a thing.

They suck!

Grandma I'd Love to Fuck

Is there such a thing? Feeling REALLY old at the moment....

My oldest 's girlfriend called me up to share the news. Her ultra sound was today, she's having a girl. While I'm so exited at the thought of having a baby in my life again, I'm devastated at the fact that it means I'm going to be a GRANDMA.

I have a six year old , every fiber of my being tells me I'm not old enough to be a grandmother.

Yet, I soon will be.

And I thought that turning 40 on my birthday this year was hard....

I've started my Christmas shopping already.

I have NEVER started my Christmas shopping this early, ever!

Going to mark this one down in the books......

I put the tree up with the last weekend in hopes to put myself in better Christmas spirits. It's kind of nice to see it all lit up over in the corner, with a few actual presents under it. If I can forget about the work aspect of Christmas, I think this will be one of my better Christmas'.

In less exciting Christmas news, I fought the tree, but the tree won.

The boyfriend has decided to put a picture of his Christmas tree on his Christmas cards this year, as opposed to a photo of us. I hate to say it, but a small part of me thinks it's the sister's influence. She apparently had a coupon that was expiring on Black Friday and had photo's of his tree, so she was able to 'put it all together' for him. She's used to the fact that he has relied on her over the years to take care of things, I think, and feels a little slighted when it concerns me.

Last year he had a photo of us on his Christmas card.

I don't know if I should feel bothered by this or not.

Me? Four times, and I was officially late for work this morning.

Ugh.....

I needed toothpicks to pry my eyes open long enough to get the shower going. I'll be so glad when Christmas is over, this crazy work schedule is going to kill me.

I have to work today, so I'm not actually going to be celebrating until Saturday, but I hope you all have a great holiday.

One last thing, please be nice to the people who got stuck having to work Thanksgiving day because greedy corporations can't stop competing over who is going to get the most Black Friday sales dollars.

It's not our fault when we run out of merchandise, we get what the company sends us. It's not our fault you have to wait in line for 2 hours before the store opens, then another 2 1/2 after the store opens, it was your choice to be among the 400 other people also waiting in line. (That is not an exaggeration, either.) Finally, it's not my fault there are no more shopping carts, sales ads, and cash registers. The company only allows us to have a certain number of shopping carts, sales ads were sent to you in the mail, and it was your choice to shop during the single busiest shopping day of the year.

At least the day will go quickly for me, I'll be super busy, and I will be reveling in the fact that I'm getting paid double time and a half for having to work the holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving to me!

So are the days of our lives.

I used to love that Soap Opera.....

It seems like time is moving at warp speed right now. I'm unable to catch up on anything and work is completely consuming me. Even when I'm not there I'm worrying and fretting about something I forgot to do or work conflicts with coworkers.

Yep, I totally hate my job. At least I HAVE a job, though, so I still consider myself thankful. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't receive a desperate phone call from someone wanting to know if I've reviewed their application and how they are willing to work just about anything.

I'll be so glad when the holidays are over.

Can you get 50 inches of snow in 2 days, have the snow turn to rain and lose it the next 2 days, only to have the rain turn back to snow and expect to receive another 4-8 inches of snow on the 5th day.

It's been a busy week.

On an unrelated side note: I had a great hair day today. I'm totally loving my new hair cut. I felt a little trepidation when I first got it cut because I was initially going to grow my hair back out, and was only going to get a trim when I first walked into the salon, but on a whim, went with something new.

I'm glad I did.

It's amazing how good it feels to be home after you've spent some time away.

I'll be honest, sleeping in my own bed is the most amazing feeling in the world to me at this moment.

Spent some time at the boyfriend's house this weekend, I'm pretty sure his bed is going to kill me one day.

Sleeping on it is like slow suicide....

I really don't know how he does it day after day. Can you get used to sleeping on a cement slab wearing a mattress costume? I feel like Elaine on that episode of Seinfeld where she sleeps on the pull out couch.

"Stella!!!"

I've suffered for so long, I really don't know what a decent nights sleep feels like.

Ugh....

I fell asleep on the couch earlier, slept for a few hours, and now I'm wide awake when I SHOULD be sleeping. By the time I do fall asleep again, it will be time for me to get up for work.

I can't seem to shake this bad sleep pattern.

Even when I try like heck to stay awake, I fall asleep without even realizing it. All I have to do is just sit and watch a show on the tube and I'm out.

I did have a really bizarre dream just before I woke up. A guy in my dream kept giving me cans of coca cola.
